DONMARIE Jewellery

Hello, I'm Maria - proud owner of DONMARIE Jewellery. I am self taught and my jewellery is designed and handmade by me. My speciality is wire weaving, I find the whole process a kind of 'meditation' and can lose myself for hours making a piece. I enjoy the discipline of the weaving and the thrill when the wire takes on the desired shape to create the organic feel of my jewellery.

I am inspired by the Natural World - I have loved and admired the beauty of stones, fossils and crystals and the geological processes and timescales involved in their creation since I was a child. I was so lucky to have a Mum and Dad that actively encouraged this. My jewellery showcases semi-precious beads, cabochons and crystals.

In August (2024) I entered three of my wire weave pendants into The Dorset Arts and Crafts Association Showcase Competition. All three won Gold Work of Outstanding Merit Certificates and I was thrilled when one of these pendants also won The Dorset Arts and Crafts Association Committee Cup.

In August (2025) I entered three newly designed pendants into The Dorset Arts and Crafts Association Showcase Competition. I was honoured, when, for the second consecutive year, Dorset Arts and Crafts Association, awarded me with three, Gold Work of Outstanding Merit Certificates and The Commitee Cup for Jewellery.
